Biography

Prof. Dr Srinjoy Saha is a senior consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata, and Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Apollo Hospital Educational and Research Foundation. In Apollo, he has taught surgical trainees continuously, initially as Clinical Tutor since 2017, and, since 2021, as a Distinguished Clinical Tutor. He has practised clinical sciences since 1998 and plastic surgery since 2008.

His clinical and research work centres on regenerative reconstruction — the use of biological scaffolds, platelet-rich plasma and stromal vascular fraction to rebuild lost tissue in injuries that would conventionally require flap surgery or grafting. He completed a fellowship in tissue engineering and wound regeneration at Brigham and

Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, and has published his work in the Journal of the American

College of Surgeons, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Global Open, and The Surgery Journal, among others.

Regenerative Plastic Surgery in India.

Prof. Dr Srinjoy Saha is pioneering regenerative plastic surgery, helping bring biological healing into mainstream surgical practice.

He is known for clinical innovations in:

  • Minimally invasive reconstructive surgery.

  • Biomaterial scaffold–assisted regeneration.

  • Stem-cell–rich SVF and nano-fat grafting.

  • PRP/PRF-based biological healing.

  • Fingertip and thumb regeneration.

  • Regenerative scar normalisation.

His published cases have been cited for their precision, durability, and functional outcomes.

Each of these techniques are documented in a peer-reviewed publication listed below.

Patients choose him for:
complex injuries · revision surgeries · non-healing wounds · tissue loss · diabetic foot reconstruction · aesthetic refinement
